#300: Arnon Avni, a Peace Activist on the Gaza Border
Arnon Avni, an Israeli cartoonist and graphic designer, is a member of kibbutz Nirim, near the Gaza border. He is a longtime peace activist with Peace Now, Israel’s preeminent peace movement. On October 7th 2023, he hid in his home’s bomb shelter with his wife and two grandchildren, escaping the terrorist attack. Five people were killed in Nirim that day. Others were kidnapped to Gaza.
