Bankchain by Paxos aims to streamline and improve post-trade activity by allowing for instant settlements, greater automation, reducing counterparty risk and increasing operational efficiency. Raj Nair, engineer at Paxos talks about how the company aims to bring capital asset trading to the blockchain ecosystem. Raj’s background includes work in Silicon Valley and Wall Street. Paxos is currently taking on the gold market with its private blockchain, named Bankchain(TM), which allows for simultaneous delivery and payment of gold and gold-backed securities – capital asset trading, blockchain style. Paxos has other endeavors scheduled to be released in 2017, but Raj stresses that their technology will be asset agnostic.
