The Facebook earnings report was below the projected mark and the stock price responded in a drastic way, badly. WhatsApp, the messaging service for which Facebook is the parent is used in different ways around the world. In India it is used as a news service, with many people forwarding news stories with in group messages in the app. False stories have lead to nasty stuff and Tom touches on it gently.
