Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows!

This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track!

Check out today's questions:

Ali: I’m applying for the private concierge membership because I want one-on-one consultation with Dr. Cabral for a complicated situation that I’m in... I noticed that Julia and Caitlin are almost half the cost of seeing Dr. Cabral… is that cost difference a reflection of their ability to diagnose as well as Dr. Cabral, or is it more so a reflection of popularity because he’s of course the man behind the magic of all of this? Thanks! Ali

Libby: I’ve been listening to your podcasts for a little while, I can’t find you addressing this question, and thought it would be beneficial for many people. My daughter is almost 13 and is struggling with acne and has had some learning disabilities. I was listening to you suggest that they both are gut related. She was on antibiotics a lot as a baby/toddler. She had reoccurring ear infections and strep. She then had tubes, adenoids out, and tonsils out. What would you suggest for an almost teenager in getting her gut healthy?

Annie: I'm dating someone who has prostatitis. He's 30 and has seen a couple of MD's who all tell him not to worry about it. He used to drink quite a bit and has recently stopped which his doctors said is a good thing. He has pain in his low back and fell on his coccyx when he was little. We are working to strengthen his feet and spine, but the pain wakes him up at night when he changes positions and when he lays on a flat surface. He saw an acupuncturist that said sex is good for him and there isn't pain with orgasm. Is there anything else that you can recommend that he do to help remedy this? Thank you for your insight and all you do.

Terry: Am I getting enough water when I only consume between 30 - 40 ounces of water per day? If I try to force myself to drink more water, it only feels like I have a fish bowl in my belly. I ONLY drink natural spring water or filtered zero water with concentrace mineral drops. No soda, no alcohol. I have organic green tea once or twice per week. I feel great and have zero dehydration symptoms I know of. I will drink more water if I go hiking, but, it's still not remotely close to 1oz per body weight. Once again, I feel great, but, if I try to drink more water, I don't feel as good. I've always been this way. Urine was clear until I started taking the active B complex vitamins, now it is Yellow due to the B vitamins. I am vata body type all the way. Male, 47, 6 ft tall, 125 and cannot gain weight regardless of how much I work out or eat. I recently saw a local naturopath doctor. No sibo, candida, nor parasites. Lots of food intolerance due to leaky gut, but already healing from that with help from her and from you. I am a huge fan of your show. Thank you for all you do!

Peg: Hi Dr. Cabral, Thank you so much for all of the incredible information you share on your podcasts each day; I’ve learned so much from you over the last year and still find episodes I haven’t heard yet. I’ve also recommended your podcast to countless friends for all types of advise. I’ve searched your archives to see if you’ve answered any questions about Bell’s Palsy and I haven’t been able to find anything on this topic. 3 Months ago after a long plane flight I woke up to 1/2 of my face totally paralyzed. I was in a foreign country and not near a hospital so I searched online for answers as to what may have happened and determined it was likely Bell’s palsy. I contacted my pcp who prescribed a course of antivirals plus prednisone. Even though I did not want to take either, I could not find any other suggestions online so I tried them both without improvement. Once I returned to the states I saw my doctor who confirmed I have Bell’s Palsy, but only based on a clinical diagnosis, no MRI. Can you please tell me what causes Bell’s and what I can do to help to improve the symptoms? I’ve regained partial function in areas of my face but I far from back to normal. My doctor said it can take up to 6 months to go away and has no suggestions for treatment in the meantime. I am anxious to do something to regain my normal face back! So far I’ve done a few things on my own: Acupunture. Oral B12. Alpha Lipoic Acid. Please let me know if you can help, or if you have treatment suggestions. Thank you so much, Peg

Lily: Hi! I am writing to you with a question regarding the blood panel test Dr. Cabral recommended on his podcast, Female Panel by Life Extension. I have been experiencing amenorrhea for about a year as well as persistent digestive issues (constipation, bloating), anxiety and now brain fog. My gynecologist sent me for some very basic bloodwork a few months back (FSH, LH, TSH, DHEA-S) but besides a DHEA-S level of 498 she said I seemed to be "in range". I have been recommended to take Spironolactone/birth control but I am focusing on addressing the underlying stressor/s that are contributing to these symptoms. In order to get the best results with the blood panel, Life Extension recommends pre-menopausal females to get blood drawn on day 21 of their cycle. Being that I have amenorrhea, do you have any further recommendations for when I get the bloodwork done? Thank you for any help you can provide, sorry this was so much at once! I really appreciate all you do. Sincerely, Lily

Tallulah: Hello! I love the information you provide and have been seeing some great benefits from your CBD Oil. I am basically a mess, physically, right now and my quality of life is definitely not great. After being healthy my entire life (aside from stomach issues), I have been diagnosed with the following: Bradycardia, Metabolic alkalosis, hypoglycemia, raynaud's disease, leukopenia, amenorrhea (haven't menstruated in 4 years). I spent time in a treatment center for an eating disorder but I was really just eliminating foods over time that were hurting my stomach (and I enjoy working out—wasn't trying to lose weight). I should mention that I haven't had any kind of illness such as a cold or flu for over 10 years so at least my immune system seems to be working! At this point, I can barely eat or drink anything without bloating and pain. I have eaten clean for many years—pescatarian—organic, lots of vegetables, pasteurized eggs and no dairy or gluten. I also grill or bake all of my vegetables to help with digestion—even lettuce—never raw. I make my own soups and meals so as to avoid added salt or hidden gluten. I also don't take any medications other than Vitamin D, Biotin, Iron, zinc and magnesium supplements (clean versions) and unfortunately, miralax because I don't seem to be able to have a bm without it, which makes everything worse. At this point, I don't know what to do but suspect your Candida & Bacterial Protocol could help. Does it require fasting in any way? I am concerned about eliminating even more foods and losing more weight and getting lightheaded. Also, I would desperately love to do all of your tests to finally get some answers but know that I can't afford them right now. Do you have any recommendations for my situation aside from the tests? Hopefully, someday I can take them. I am no longer going to traditional doctors as it has cost a lot of money, hasn't helped and goes against most of what I believe in for how to heal the body. I appreciate any advice you can provide. Thank you so much for all of the help you are providing people. You are literally, saving lives. Thank you!

Laura: Hi Stephen, I love your podcast and everything you're doing. I've had increasing lower abdominal pain over the last 12 months. It's becoming unbearable and really affecting my day to day life. I'm extremely healthy and lived a balanced lifestyle. I avoid dairy and gluten. 2 weeks ago I had the laparoscopy for the removal of endometriosis but None was found. I got my period this month for the first time in a year. I am not under weight or living I highly stressed life. A year ago I would have been very stressed though. My blood tests are great according to gymno and doctor and I monitor all the things that could potentially affect or cause these pains. There's no common foods that I am aware of. What questions me is the pain comes on around 5pm and stays for 3-4 hours. Generally I have lunch around 1 and don't snack at work or really eat until dinner. The pain seems to ease after I eat. The pain is shark, in the middle of my lower abdomen and causes severe bloating. Could I have a parasite or something causing this pain when my stomach is potentially empty? I'm exhausted and gutted that even after an operation I don't have any answers! If I was to take any of your tests what would you recommend? Any advice will help I don't even know where to begin now. Thank you so much
