Do you dream about how things will be different in the future? You know, once you lose weight. Once you eat differently. Once you stop bingeing. Or once you truly start taking care of yourself.

This dream sounds so smart. It makes you feel excited to move forward and make changes. But changing who you are and how you live is an inside job. It doesn’t automatically happen when your weight changes.

Changing your body comes from new thinking and eventually new eating.

But truly changing your future is available to you right now. Even with whatever you weight today.

If weight loss is your goal and you reach it, no doubt you’ll have a smaller body.

But surprisingly, some things will be better and many more will still be the same.

So how do you motivate yourself to move forward and learn to act and think in new ways, while understanding that weighing a certain number doesn’t change your life?
