Great show. The wife âgaspâ was awesome... it drives me insane and I canât seem to train myself out of it. Hillarious
8000 pound deadlifts and shining the light on evil.
Jocko is the man. He lives up to his nickname and exceeds any hype by a country mile! When you listen to the podcast you will become better and challenged to excel! It will leave you different! Then, when you see the podcast on YouTube, you will think that Jocko looks exactly like you thought but Echo... I thought he would look like a Greesy haired cross between Shaggy on Skoobie Do with glasses that looked like Dafney!?! (No kidding that is what my mind pictured... but in reality... Echo is JACKED!!! I feel like these guys are personal friends! I talk about my buddies Jocko & Echo... and I have yet to meet them.
The only thing disappointing about this podcast is that there are not more episodes! Iâve listened to all 164 podcasts and Iâve listened to many of the individual episodes 3-4 times. Jocko does a masterful job of using war and life to weave a strong thread of consistent leadership principles that are universally applicable, especially in business, relationships, and personal growth. Echo brings his âAâ game every podcast. There is no one out there who can push the record button like Echo, he is a LEGEND! All kidding aside, Echo and Jocko, together, provide a very engaging podcast! They are both very different flavors, but together they blend like peanut butter and chocolate MOLK! #GetSome
The best podcast out there period. Anyone who wants to become better person, father, mother, son, daughter, friend, employee, employer and leader, this is for you. Echo and Jocko, thank you and never forget. ðºð¸
I use Jockoâs (isms) daily as a senior enlisted leader in the Unite States Marine Corps. The concepts and principles discussed or read by Jocko translate to any facet of the Human XP. I wasnât able to get ahold of this as a young 19yro Marine but Iâm passing THIS to the 19yro Marine and my kids today as they are the future IOT get them on the PATH! Check. Now, back to the book...
Jocko will unleash a powerful topic on a weekly basis that sometimes brings me to tears. I came to the podcast for leadership and Iâm getting so much more than that. Iâm getting in touch with my emotions and redefining myself in the process. I hope to see his live podcast next time he has one. Listening makes me a better leader, father, person and human being. I have zero military experience. I have zero close relatives with military experience. I just listen with an open mind and jocko speaks to me in ways many others cannot. I have set my alarm clock for 5am and I wake up before the enemy and get after it. I enjoy echoâs banter which gives me a good chuckle from time to time.
Over use of the word dichotomy while treating cohost like his opinions are invalid.
I have been listening to this podcast for about a year now. I really appreciate what you guys do, I like what you guys cover in your show! The book reviews are incredible and I really like how you can always convert any situation back and tie it back to Jiu Jitsu! You have talked about it so often actually that I took it upon myself to find a gym near me and start training. Had my first lesson/class last night. Woke up this morning an hour before my alarm and was ready to tackle my day! Again. Thank you for continually putting out excellent content.
If youâre a leader, military or civilian, you need to listen to this podcast. Thereâs no way youâll heed Jockoâs advice and NOT get better.
I first saw the âGoodâ video in a training class and I was hooked, my wife tells me to stop telling everyone about the podcast, she says that is all I talk about, which is true, but it has changed my life. I get up at 1500 every morning now to âGet After Itâ. I was holding a meeting at work and told my team after to go âGet After Itâ, then offered $50 to anyone who could tell me who says that. All them said Jocko at once, I guess I do always talk about the podcast, why not though it has changed my life. I am a Veteran and appreciate everything the podcast represents. Thanks JockoJacin Hogeland
I started to listen to Jocko for the content but find his voice and intonation so soothing, Iâll listen to him just before bed or when I need to mellow out.
Iâm learning a lot about life. Jocko and Echo are an excellent pairing.
This podcast has helped me in so many ways. Itâs so good, I am trying to catch up Iâm on episode 52 today. Only 110 to go to catch up haha. Such an inspiration to do better for myself and my family. Helping me crush it at work every day. I Learn more everyday how to take the high road. Thank you guys btw krill oil is helping the workouts.
The Jocko Podcast has to be the best podcast series on the planet. Itâs part leadership mentoring, life coaching, motivational speaking, and history lessons. I first started listening because I was looking for some perspective on leadership from both being a leader and being led. However, I quickly learned there was so much more to each Podcast that it became difficult to describe. Each episode has some much to take away. My favorites are those with guests, especially Roger Hayden, Mike Thornton, Charlie Plumb, and Jim Kunkle. Another favorite, after 137 episodes, it was nice to have Dean Lister on the Podcast. We so much about him. I cannot recommend this Podcast enough. Jocko and Echo work so well off each other, and Echo always brings a bit of levity to lighten up the darkness. Thank you, Jocko and Echo, for making such a great Podcast.
Jocko and Echo have one of the best podcasts in podcast land.
Iâm reading Jocko and Leifâs books and listening to the Podcasts. This stuff rings true. Itâs not phony. I lead a small group of warriors and I am implementing these leadership techniques and weâre seeing results.
Jocko might be one of the best Orators of our time.
They donât make men like Jocko anymore
Amazing speaking!I listen often, not one to comment much. Your opening letter to Seth had me sobbing into my shirt sleeves.Amazing work! Run for office, we need more people like you and Andy/Matt/Evan/Echo....and anybody from the group I am missing!Thank you for all you do!
Pierceâs through to the gut of oneâs being. Stories and commentary that elucidate the extraordinary highs and wretched lows of the human experience. Thanks for all your hard work.
Jocko Podcast hits the target every time!! ...Standing By to Get Some!
Really started listening to this podcast a little month ago it has changed my life. Helped to get me on the path! Thanks Jocko and Echo.
I once had the pleasure to be a team leader in an Infantry platoon, and I really wish this podcast was around when I was in. Such great insight and even better guests. This is my first review btw. That good of a podcast
My company sent me to the Echelon Front course and I received the "Extreme Ownership" book for free. Went and did the field training a few days later and had a blast. I made it a few chapters into the book and had to see how the podcast was. I really enjoy it! It's very motivational and interesting to listen to.
The Jocko Podcast is one of a few that are must-listen when they release. Jocko and Echo have provided some much needed guidance, and have managed to inspire me to take control of my life. Probs gonna start jiujistsu soon.
Probably the best podcast out there. If you want inspiration, need some motivation, or simply want to learn about history and learn about the human condition, Jocko is for you. I started listening, and couldnât stop.
This podcast is a no joke, good information, experience driven collective of lessons learned that can be applied to anyone, from anywhere. Great use of time, great message.
Jocko podcast would be so much better without the insufferable cohost Echo Charles constantly adding meaningless and often embarrassing takes... his lack of awareness and horrible, drawn out stories that, in my opinion, retract from the show make it hard to listen to sometimes. Itâs almost like he hasnât reviewed any of the continent prior to each show and just kind of says something just to say something. The funniest part is, Jocko often laughs at him for it! No idea how he is still on the show, but other than that, great podcast.
I must say, I made a mistake in scolding echo in one of my previous reviews. Echo, from listening to you for a lot of time now, I can tell that you are a very genuine person. To not change under the ire of Jocko is commendable. Most people would become like him for his approval. Your positivity, consideration, and whimsy, bring a nice balance to the podcast. If I found out you didnât use marijuana though, I would be totally surprised. You gotta be a stoner bro. Lol. Much love though man. Stay true and happy new year to you both.
Man, have I learned how to better myself. I would love to meet him in real life and sit down with him and talk. As soon as I get caught up on all my other podcasts I listen to, I going to binge listen to his podcast.
I found extreme ownership at the exact time I was ready. Blue belt, BJJ tournament wins, success in my company and happy employees making strides.
This podcast is a must for anyone who wants to be a leader, or wants to become a better leader. Whether in the military, business, or in your own life. The way he takes history and pulls lessons from it is very enlightening. I have recommended that my team leaders start listening to Jocko to learn about Extreme Ownership, and the lessons learned through history. So sit down, listen up, and stand by to get some.
Thank you Jacko. I need you. Respectfully.
Only reason I didnât go 5 stars is because they talk a lot about Ju Jitsu and if you don't roll it gets old, otherwise awesome show
I love this podcast. I look forward to itâs release every Wednesday. Life changing content and interviews. Keep it coming.
I really enjoy the Jocko Podcast. The information, book reviews, and interviews are outstanding. I love the type of books that Jocko reviews. They give me the desire to expand my reading list. How else would the book âAbout Faceâ ever find its way to my bookshelf? One thing that separates Jocko from other podcast of this ilk is his class. Although Jocko will use profanity occasionally, his podcast is not laced with it. I listened to other podcast that I thoroughly enjoyed but the cursing was constant. An occasional profanity doesnât bother me, but the constant barrage turns me off. This is probably my favorite podcast. And I listen to at least half a dozen podcast regularly and maybe a dozen semi-regularly. I highly recommend the Jocko podcast.
This podcast is sometimes difficult to listen to, but always important to hear. You are expected as a listener to develop into a better version of yourself. That is never said, but always implied. You will gain the knowledge and mindset necessary for success and be given a clear path to the tools that will help you incorporate it into your better life. I have been offered several better positions at my career, given classes that others are clamoring for, and had tremendous reviews with bonuses since beginning the path. I have read Extreme Ownership, Mikey and The Dragons (today, best kids book ever, by far!) and am currently reading Dichotomy of Leadership. My options at work are wide open because of these!
This is my second review and this podcast has yet to disappoint!!! I am getting to know the darkness very well and it is helping me see the light. The most recent podcast (155) was amazing! Keep getting after it!
If you seek truth and you seek freedom... seek Jocko.
Jocko podcast amazing! But very one needs to stop hating on echo! Echo is there, and heâs staying! He is amazing with Jocko and they just are amazing and inspirational and revolutionary.
Thank you Jocko & Echo. This is a much needed podcast in my opinion. Necessary for those who seek to achieve a better version of themselves. This podcast allows me to look at the man in the mirror. How can I be better? Do I have enough discipline? Answer is no. Can I go harder? Yes!!!! Are we getting the most out of each day? Those questions are and why we should listen. Staying on the path leads to improvement in all facets of life. Thank you.
Itâs awesome to see Jocko take steps towards Echoâs rambling and long winded responses. This episode made me laugh, almost as much as the skinny knees YouTube video.
Required listening for men. Depth, wisdom, honesty, integrity. This is not your fluffy, warm bath of NPR motivation. This is an ice bath. A dive into our monkey mind. A walk through the valley of the shadow of death with Jocko, and he teaches us lessons of those who have survived the walk, and those who have not. Prioritize this podcast.
Since Jocko entered my life, Iâve taken ownership of everything in my world. Iâve lost 40lbs, increased my income by 40% and went from surviving the day to day grind, to thriving into a promotion. If you feel stuck in life, if the darkness has a grip on you, this my friend, is what you are looking for. Now, Get After It! #StandByToGetSome
One of the last men left in the world, dying breed
Hey guys, my names daniel, I absolutely love your content. I really liked Jockoâs story about his friend Jeff. It got me thinking on how there are many people out there who are like him, maybe not necessarily in the aspect of drug addiction and abuse of alcohol, but more of people who have amazing potential and could really be someone. What would you say to those people, people who are lost and havet found/chosen their mission?
I first heard Jocko on JRE podcast and my mind was blown. This podcast has helped me in my leadership role at my job. I go back to the beginning often to refresh my brain. Iâve listened to every single podcast and not a single one disappoints. Thanks Jocko for your service and inspiration.
