Where did you all go, Destiny 2 lore time yet? This show WAS great. They ended on whining, yeah we get it, but we donât come to a lore podcast to her your complaining about state of the game. They came back & sound like they still hate the game, they never really talked about ALL the new lore that has been released. There are much better places to find lore on this game these days. these guys are washed up, which is sad. State of the game is great right now, we are playing our best Destiny.
When they first started the podcast was great. Lots of great Destiny and lore discussions. Then they started becoming very inconsistent with episode postings, then each episode became more about complaining about Destiny than anything positive. Now they rarely post episodes, and when they do itâs just an hour of negative garbage. Some of them donât even play Destiny anymore, and all they do is complain about the game. They started a Destiny podcast but now insult listeners who speak up or ask why they arenât covering Destiny. What was once a great source of lore and a bright part of the Destiny community. Has become completely toxic and not worth a Destiny fans time. They are doing themselves a disservice by continuing to put out content and show themselves in such a negative light.
Used to be great. I get times have been tough but the podcast has devolved into hours of how butthurt you all are. Sad because this use to be my favorite podcast for Destiny lore.
This used to be my go-to Destiny show. The lore was deep, the banter was fun. I was ecstatic to see they returned from a long hiatus, but now I wish my sweet memories werenât soiled. I understand why they dislike the game now (believe me), but to have some of them say theyâll never play Destiny again, no matter what... why record a show? If you dislike something that much, move on. I am.
Really enjoy this podcast but as a headphone listener , the button smashing of a controller while recording the podcast is very annoying and really ruins the podcast .
Weâre dropping Destiny now on this Destiny podcast? And you think youâll retain even 1% of your Destiny audience that found this podcast searching for Destiny Podcasts? Awesome. Well I enjoyed what you had done prior to giving up on Destiny, good luck with your... whatever podcast... you should probably change the name.
Donât be afraid to listen, I donât mean too much negativity with the title. Theyâre a solid listen and really go in-depth with the lore. But... I kind of lost interest due to hosts seeming to become almost bitter, they spent more time picking apart the mistakes than focusing on the lore. I still love them tho, hope that new content will reinvigorate them.
I mainly play RPGs so having this as I start playing destiny 2 is amazing ...
If you love Destiny lore listen to this amazing podcast. It breathes life into the game for me. I just started listening 2 weeks back and as I type this Iâm on episode 35.5 and Iâm hooked. Iâm mostly a solo player so, I listen to this while I play. This podcast also gets me through my work day. Iâve been trying to push this podcast on my clan (Thrall Life Matters). Iâm a Titan main #titanmasterrace If any of yâall play on PS4 my PSN is Spanishhbac. Keep up the good work! Canât wait to get caught up!
On a scale of 1-10 with 6 being the highest I rate this Turtle.(P.S. I play on Xbox username Loyalgamer05)
Hey guys! I recently found your podcast shortly after the release of Destiny 2 and have learned so much about Destiny 1 that I never knew about. Iâve always wanted to learn more about it on my own, but failed to connect pieces of it. Thank you for expanding my knowledge of the Destiny world. (P.S. I play both Destinys on Xbox and would love to play with you!)
You guys did a great job for D1 but it looks like you're not interested anymore. Just a bunch of inside conversation about other things. See ya'
This show is by far one of the best places to listen to destiny lore out there! They go in depth and really make the story come alive... at least when itâs about the lore. I love hearing about their lives and following them on side quests but it seems like the show has become less and less which is a little disappointing. I rated it a 3 Star but the majority of this podcast is fire and worthy of 5 stars. Iâm hoping In the future Iâll change it to five and can update this review.
These guys are a veritable wealth of information, as a guardian who cut his chops on vanilla destiny 1, these guys helped me understand and appreciate the depth of the Destiny story. Their bits on the Vault of Glass and the Books of Sorrow were mind bending to say the least. It was a great resource until the episodes became scant and destiny 2 dropped.I still listen whenever they put out an episode, and as a busy guy myself I get the whole scheduling nightmare that comes with doing anything in a group, but their latest episodes seem to be more of a salt-cast than a podcast. They seem like all they want to do is harp on Destiny 2âs shortcomings. As someone who loved learning the lore behind the weapons and classes, I too am disappointed that there appears to be very little of note here in year one, like three months after release, but I donât let it ruin my fun. They say over and over they like Destiny 2, but they spend 2/3s if their latest podcast ripping it a new one and the one third that is supposed to be complimentary is mostly a gripe list. While addressing shortcomings is important, Ghost Stories should focus on being a lore podcast, not a nerd rage podcast. The last few episodes sound like the comic book guy from the Simpsons infected them with his Cheeto dust. There is lore to talk about, even if itâs not up to Dropslashâs caliber, even if the lore is lacking, take what you have and talk about it. If you donât want to talk destiny 2, talk destiny 1, but donât just pine and moan that the game is not the way you want it to be.
Just started with Destiny 2 and wanted to catch up on the lore. Very entertaining and informative and Iâll definitely be binging on this podcast for a while. Hope it wonât be ending anytime soon.
Loved all of the deep dives and lore discussions, but as D2 launches itâs been nothing but constant complaining. Why not focus on the things in the game that has the lore. Instead of point out all of the flaws all the old players know about
I really enjoyed this podcast during Destiny. Learning about the esoteric details of the Vex or discussing the intricacies of sword logic was pretty amazing. However, this podcast is no longer about the lore. Instead, it should be titled âStuff dropslash doesnât like about Destinyâ. Gone are the tangled stories of Osiris and Toland. Instead, we get a litany of complaints and salt, a dead horse thatâs already been beaten across the internet and back. If youâre looking for a deep dive into the backstory and world-creation in the Destiny universe, this is no longer the place.

I donât usually listen to podcast, but this one is absolutely great. Listening to the exotic heavy weapon episode now and I have to say that X-ray is my spirit animal after you did that metal intro. My gamer tag is Pheline Feonix, and I would love to play with you guys!! Ps. If X-ray reads this on an episode he has to read all the âthank youâ written above! ð
Nice job! Very informative and fun to listen to while I'm playing Destiny 2 or D1. Something you all could improve on is staying on task, like making episodes more often, using more referencing to more Destiny things, or maybe even extending your episodes and making them more detailed. Very good coverage!
Love this show so much, I have listened to some episodes at least 5 or 6 times over. Hosts are great, just a great podcast to listen to.
I have been an avid listener since, Dec 2015. You guys Rock, love learning the all the vast (science/ phyics/ universe / planetary) details behind the game we all play. Thanks for taking the time to inform all of us and keep us up to date on all things lore related to Destiny!
Go deeper into the lore of Destiny with this amazing group of individuals. Very concise and thorough from Raids to Loot, everything you wanna hear about all hidden lore is discussed.
A great show with plenty of humor. This show digs deeper into the lore and explains it better than anything out there. Another positive note is 99% of all episodes are little ear friendly so I have no issue letting my Little Light listen along.
I love the quality and content that this show provides but they are a weekly podcast that recently has become a monthly update on their lives. Not that I don't care about the lives of the cast but I listen because of the destiny lore. They are incredibly knowledgeable on the topic but it is hard to write a five star review when they haven't published a lore episode in over 2 months. If they could get on a consistent schedule I would gladly rewrite this review but until then I can't give them the 5 stars the show deserves.
I found this podcast at episode 12 and and literally binge listened to all the previous episodes because this podcast is great. The hosts do so much work researching and putting together notes and it shows. My only complaint about the show is I wish there was just more of it. I could listen to the show everyday. Keep up the good work guys and can't wait to see what you guys do for destiny 2.
Since I found you guys a couple months ago, I've been listening to everything I can. Quickly became my favorite podcast to listen to! So interesting and goes deep into the lore. I constantly stay interested, entertained, and have a laugh here and there. Just yesterday I got my AIAT DGS shirt! Keep doing what you're doing!
I just found this podcast and I'm hooked.
I am a start up streamer and i want say you guys are my heros you start with very little and now are epically big i hope i can one day grow like you and help ppl see the joy i get from a game like you guys
Just started listening last week. I'm going in order. On episode 10. Hopefully I can catch up and hear them all by destiny 2. Most interesting of all the podcasts imo.
Top-notch, I really enjoy this podcast. I'm a yr. 1 Destiny player, and I really appreciate all the time and effort you guys have put into this podcast. Yet another example of how awesome this community really is.
Detailed , broke down , and explained Destiny lore !I have listened to ep.1 to ep.51 in a month, usually 4 to 6 hours a day Monday through Friday. I Flip and Restore houses , I love my job but this podcast has made me love it even more ! A lot of times I'm alone, doing what I do, just thinking about Destiny and what I want to knock out when I get home, and how fast I can get there ! The last month though it was a little different I stayed till the Ep. that I was listening to would end (which was usually an extra hour or so) before I would start to clean up and head out , all the sudden I found I was accomplishing so much more with out realizing it, stairs would get built, stain would go on, and railings would go up , homes would improve, and all the while I was roaming the Cosmodrome where it all started , then all the way to the Lords of Iron where we sit now ! This podcast is a top contender ! Give it a shot I know it won't disappoint!
Awesome podcast! However, I really enjoyed dropslash's destiny 2 review for the premiere. He must have a photographic memory, the details of the game he was able to recall was amazing. Kudos for reviving Zavala!
As a fellow podcaster, I am so impressed by the amount of work and effort that goes into each show. Been listening since the beginning and am looking forward to hearing and seeing you guys in Destiny 2! Love you guys! RogueSpartan4, out.
A few months ago I wanted to learn more about the lore behind destiny, after some googling and redditing I found your podcast. Over the course of 3 months I would listen to you guys talk about the lore of destiny. I would talk to you on my commute to work and tell you how right you are with your theories about upcoming content, since at the time of recording you were unaware. As I write this I am completely caught up with the podcast. It's a bitter sweet feeling to know I'm caught and to not be able to binge. I've learned so much and even schooled some of my clan members on the lore thanks to you. This is hands down the best destiny lore podcast I've heard, your passion for the game and it's lore comes across. Keep up the fantastic work looking forward to the next episode.
These guys do a great job explaining the story going on in Destiny. I feel like I understand more of the story behind doing all the story missions and strikes where before I kind of just flew planet to planet doing what Zavala told me to and killing space aliens. Awesome podcast! Definitely gives you a different perspective when playing the game.
I know it's your show and this is just how I am. I am for Destiny Lore, not what you guys did in Overhype (aka overwatch) and how this made you think of that game. I love the content you provide all and all when it stays on topic. Again, how I like my information, nothing personal.
Haven't listened yet but I intend to. Good ideas bois we like it oh and Malice and Moto sent me
This podcast got me hooked into destiny again. They are critical in the only way a fan can be who really truly enjoys the game and excited about each topic they discuss. Also the chat is wicked fun. Who knew the Young Wolves Howl was good?
I used to really like this podcast. And now it's just you 2+ hours of you it's bagging on the game. I don't think anyone needs help realizing there are a ton of holes in the plot and conflicting messages in the game. Had I rated this 5 months ago it would have easily been a 5 star.
Hey yall. I don't consider myself someone who likes to complain or one who feels my opinion is so important I must post it to social media so I can feel heard. I have listened to you guys for a little over a year now... absolutely changed my love for destiny to an obsession... and I thank you... I thank you for opening me up to all the lore I had no idea existed. In that last 4-5 epsisodes ive grown a bit exhausted... for one, I always enjoyed hearing X-ray and he seems to do the intro and then that's about it... bring back more X-ray.... also (love you two) drop and gable.... just seems like 90% of the shows anymore are you two poking holes and complaining about the writing and the possibility of things in the game.... it's a game... it doesn't have to be logical. Anyway... i love what y'all gave me in the beginning but I can't listen to a destiny bashing podcast anymore. Again I don't feel my opinion is valuable to anyone but myself... but with the respect I've had for what you guys do... it just felt right to explain why you've lost a listener.... still hope to run into you guys someday on the battlefield... but until then... thanks for the many many hours of entertainment while I got through my work day.....
Been listening to this for about a year. It used to be great. I learned so much about this game that I love that I never knew before. Those days are gone. Now it seems each episode just consists of a couple hours spent making fun of the writing and dissecting and interpreting every line of dialog as literally and two dimensionally as possible. I got half way through the last episode and had to stop because it was so sad and upsetting. I feel like you guys are a little too far down the rabbit hole and have completely lost your vision. I used to be excited to listen to this podcast every week because I knew I was going to learn something about Destiny. Now all I'm learning is that you think the writers are a bunch of idiots who can't tell a comprehensive story. I bet they love your podcast too. Unsubscribe.
This is a very thorough podcast, but they tend to come at the story from a very cynical and nitpicky place. Really hurts the enjoyment.
If you like destiny as I do and have interest in the story (or lack of one unfortunately) this is your podcast. This team of hosts breaks down the lore of destiny and offers a wonderful showcase of entertaining stories. I like to hear about the story behind my favorite game. Give this podcast a chance and learn about why things are what they are in destiny.Warlock master class.
I have followed the podcast since early this year and haven't missed an episode yet. I must say I'm always Impressed I thought I was a destiny lore master but you thought me there was so much more to the game then just the ghost fragments and hidden storylines. Beyond the edge of what is certain many other secrets lay waiting and you so easily made them clear making me want to know more each little secret a new key to unlocking the secrets in destiny. But I won't say I've always agreed with you and I've even argued with you though you can't hear me when I'm just listening to a recording. But it's inspired me to think deeply. A good example is on the dark bellow episodes you mentioned how the hive don't hide in the dark and use its shadows to move and that Eros morn was just being crazy when she said that, my mind instantly went to alak'houl who we all know does hide and travel through darkness and also it's well known he was in the pit when first crota went down. So while I may not agree I can't get enough of this and almost feel I'm a part of the whole story as I listen and learn. Keep it up ghost stories!
The research and thought put into each show makes every episode fantastic. Some times i feel like im listening to Drop teach a lit class. Thank you fellas for doing this. I found the show about a 2 months ago, and I binged every single episode since then. Keep up the good work Guardians!
They've clearly grown disinterested over time. Not as interesting as it used to be. Sloppy episodes, mostly just straight reading of grimoire. Find another podcast.
I started playing Destiny just to pass the time until Mass Effect Andromeda. It was just another game, until I accidently click on your podcast during a random google search. I was immediately hooked, downloaded all of the episodes on my iPhone and listened on the way to and from work, and now have a different perspective of the game. Keep up the good work!Must Have Enemies Hoodie.
My brother told me about you guys many months back. When he told me it was purely a podcast for Destiny lore I knew I had to listen. I started listening a while back and I started at Ep.1 and slowly but surely listened my way up to the most recent Ep. You guys do a great job on the show explaining and unveiling hidden gems in the lore I would otherwise never uncover. Thank you guys for entertaining me and making each and every episode a great learning experience! I canât wait to hear what you guys have in store for me and my brother in the upcoming months! Sincerely "TheDayman05" (ps4) and my brother âFOOOK24â (xbox)
