They seem to enjoy talking more about themselves than the game.
Your solo episode was great. Thank you <3
So loving the podcast. Iâve learned a bunch and been more intentional in some of my pvp playing. On ep 185 youâre talking about sliding and firing in the opposite direction call it The âAnne Oakleyâ.
Every now and then yâall give us something other than the usual horsing around and personal opinions on this game we love. Episode 182 with Cap was one of these occasional gems that I have downloaded, put on repeat, and am trying to burn into my skill set. Thank you guys for always being entertaining and having the sight to put out this wonderful episode of real knowledge, and opening mine and a few of my clan matesâ eyes to the real crucible game we should be striving to achieve.
Over an hour of existential bs. This podcast is supposed to be about Crucible and there was literally no crucible content in the 80 painstaking minutes I listened.
Best Podcast about Destiny. A lot of good tips, and information. Birds forever
Hearing the old one getting drunk and belligerent was the best part of the show, the hipster cook and the other one are holding the alcoholic down. Love you guys and love the show =)Hunter master class still in D2
This is what I would classify as a âthird tierâ Destiny podcast. OK if your just looking for Destiny info.
They only get better with age. I always look forward to Mondays to hear just what I've been doing wrong in the crucible over the past week. No, just kidding, but I have learned a ton from these guys and they make me laugh every week. It's a great way to get my Destiny 2 PvP fix while I'm at work. Please keep it coming, CR
I love the energy these guys bring. I've learned a few things during the time that I've listened to them. Keep it up guys
I found this podcast during Destiny 1 and loved it. With Destiny 2 I neglected this podcast due to life. PROS:The regular cast balance each other out greatly, do a fantastic job staying positive and focusing on facts. I love their zen take on things.CONS: Tuning back in on episode 163 had me cringe when, within the first few minutes, the F bomb was drop more than once. It only bothered me because my 11 year old son was listening with me and I perhaps forgot that this group cusses this way. Personal opinion is that more game discussions like these would really open their market if they just prevented themselves from relying so heavily on swearing. And young people would be able to benefit from the well thought out ideas and discussion that sometimes occurs in these forums if there wasnât so much harsh language. Aside from that, my title is to say that this group, like so many other Destiny podcasts, spend a great deal of time being silly, focusing on side discussion that has little to do with the game, and heavily cussing simply for the sake of cussing. A lot of people donât mind this and many tune in for it so this is a great podcast for that.
Crucible Radio is exactly where you want to be to find out anything and everything about Destiny PVP and Destiny as a whole. They always give super informative discussions and have super cool guest interviews. Extremely funny and easy to get hooked on listening to them. 10/10
Long time listener, but guys please no ear rape intro music. Hype music, yes. Hoarse guy screaming over drum fills? Nah.
Also stopped listening as soon as they brought misinformed politics into a gaming podcast. Really sad to see lost another listener.-
Really disappointed you guys decided to get political with the show. We have enough issues in this country right now re political bias in the media without a gaming podcast getting involved as well. Hopefully your listeners will fully educate themselves before forming an opinion on immigration policy. I know Iâm just a small minority in your group of followers but you lost a loyal fam and supporter of the show today
Was a great show until they injected uneducated misinformed political views into their podcast. Stick with what you know. Unsubscribed
I feel as if Iâve grown up somewhat with you three via my Destiny Life. What shines the most is the positive outlook (pun not intended) you have all maintained. One comment however, Byrds, you really shouldnât promote people backing out of a Competitive match when they learn they are up against a full team of 4, Iâm not mad, just disappointed. Love You Guys.
Bones Swain you guys are amazing and have helped me with so many aspects of this amazing game through your podcast and all your solo episodes but I gotta give the number one spot to birds for his solo episode I've listened to it multiple times and found something new to learn from each time I listen thank you guys for being awesome voop scrubs on the space internet
I used to enjoy the show, but seems like the hosts are now a little bitter towards the community that supported them during D1. Much less negativity on DCP or other podcasts.
I love this show. Iâm consistently surprised at how good this podcast is. The hosts manage to find the balance between funny and thoughtful almost every week. Also I have found some great music through their artist focuses. Other Destiny shows are good this one is the best. This show is about how to be a better player and every once in a while a better human.
Much like Batman, I was orphaned years ago, and I may or may not blame Crucible Radio. Five stars for the insight, interviews, and making me the Guardian my clan deserves, but not the one they need. Like, ever. I am really bad at this game.
Punch all the things!I would give them 6 stars, but they have yet to drop the Keen Koala Crucible Calendar with sexy Koala poses. Until then, only 5 stars.FluffyFingersMD
I donât care about all games... donât forget what made u guys famous or in the game scene Destiny u guys havenât talk about strategy about anything no weapon yâall what to use or how to be better ... u guys have gone flat .. the game is still good but u guys not so much
This is the only Destiny D2 podcast I have ever listened to and I cannot stop listening donât stop recording and playing please
Can't say enough about this podcast. Since D2 released, I've been listening to a lot of community podcasts while I work my 9-to-5, but I gotta say, you guys give me something to look forward to on Mondays. Not only do you focus on what I wanna hear about (Crucible tactics and improvements), but you do so in such a positive way, and that makes all the difference. There is a lot of heat in the Destiny community right now, and a lot of it is somewhat justified, but so many podcasters and content creators have really let the negativity take a toll on the voices they put out there. Even in your critiques of the game, pretty much all of which I agree with, I can tell you don't take pleasure in doing so, and that you want to focus on the fun that we have in the game, and that means a lot to me personally. It seems like bashing Destiny and talking about what we hate about the game is the cool thing to do now, and I have stopped listening to a lot of other voices out there because of it. It's just not enjoyable to listen to. That won't be the case for this podcast though, so thanks for enjoying the game along with the rest of us!
Hoping Bungie will change things up to help these guys have more to talk about. The crucible can still be fun but it is fairly bland right now. I used to learn so much from listening about D1 crucible. Definitely helped me get better. I still use what Iâve learned listening to this day.
So i donât know if itâs a positive or a negative that my favorite load out on hunter (console) is the high-impact, blue, full-auto scout (trax lysis?) the sand wasp, and the hand in hand. So a blue, another blue, and a green...
Crucible Radio was the first Destiny podcast that I listened to and these guys played a huge role in my Destiny 1 PVP game. They hostsâ own thirst to improve in PVP was what drove their content and their podcasts were filled with fantastic interviews, ranging from strategy breakdowns to mental improvements. However, something has changed with these guys and Iâm afraid itâs not for the better. We all know Destiny 2 PVP is horrendous right now and plans to improve the sandbox are still months away. That said, it seems like the hosts have so little to talk about that the podcast for the past 2-3 months has been nothing but silly comedy bits and inane banter between the hosts. Usually, itâs 30 minutes before they actually get to their topic and then even after that, itâs unfocused and shallow. Iâm rooting for these guys and for the Destiny franchise in general, but for now Iâll get my Destiny information from more efficient podcasts, like IGNâs Fireteam Chat or Planet Destinyâs podcast.
Love wasting my time listening to these guys at work.
With the community in a time where everyone is at each other's or Bungie throats, these guys keep it real, funny, and positive which is a breath of fresh air. When most else are tearing it down there keeping the lanterns lift.
I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth.
You guys clearly have great advice for some us that strive to get better. Love the music highlights and food ad libs. Loved the bungo interview. Thanks for being a part of Drive.
Iâm only giving this podcast a 5 star review because they told me to. Iâm not giving it 5 stars because I enjoy the podcast and love all the useful tips and insight these strangers give me.
I like podcast much wow. It very good. We Neanderthal speak loud for strong voice. Very scary for enemy Neanderthal. No make fun of us. We will find in Rumble (Shoutout to Cammycakes, yes). Praise Lord Shaxx
Not even worth my time.
"That's what I get to do when I do the mini episode, plug myself...that sounds weird" -Bones "Enchiladas are better than pizza" -Birds "VOOP" -Swain
A Very Bungie Thanksgiving (Ep 2) opening statements hit the nail on the head for me as a Destiny 2 player. I could go on with how I feel about the toxicity within parts of the community but instead Iâd rather thank you guys for your podcast. So thanks for being level headed, for digging in deep with interviews and with mechanics of the game. Thanks for being a place where week after week I become more informed about a game that I enjoy playing. You guys do amazing work and are truly Legend.
Love these guys. They make Destiny talk (with all of its positives and negatives) feel like a chat with my buds. Keep up the good work gentlemen. They canât MKB to save their lives though. ;)
Birds, your words before the last episode are so true and I couldnât agree more. One of the many reasons why I love listening to your guys show. We need more positivity like that in the community right now. I have faith in Bungie and I know itâs not the âpopularâ thing to do, but I love this game. See you guys in the crucible.
Real destiny talk. Even in a content and enjoyment lull these guys are here to entertain! Keep up the hard work, and I'll keep coming back for the intros, hot takes, and musical breaks!
A great example of how bungie game creator have no idea what their fading fan base wants. The large subset of dedicated players who now won't or can't stand to play destiny will NEVER get what they want. Thanks bungie for turning this 3 year destiny fan into a destiny hater. And 90% of players are with me. Bye bye destiny. The beginning of the end
Came to this podcast for all things overwatch PVP. But they only mention it like a couple times an episode. Where did I go wrong??!!!
You guys are the best!
Crucible Radio has been a massive part of my daily commute to-n-from school and work. Admittedly, I am a Taken-tot, but I took the time to go back to the very first episode and work through the entire series. Since October of 2015, Birds, Bones & Swain have been wonderful company for cars, trains, planes, and boats.Initially, they took their time figuring out how to run the show, but the content was relatable, entertaining, and welcoming. I felt at ease listening to Swain discuss his struggles with the Crucible. Their discussions on improvement, development, and strategy helped me get a better understanding of the game.Their podcasting abilities mirrored their improvements in game. Their flow, discussions, banter, and bits were well planned and executed. Oh, and the guest speakers ... the guest speakers were fantastic! Getting a chance to listen to Fallout strategize and analyze, while SportsPsychSteve developed stress management skills, and Jon Weisnewski provided the inside scoop was wonderful! The show hit a strong peak. But then it began to digress. Absent hosts, unenthusiastic banter and discussions, mixed with their growing fame and seemingly elite status started to make them feel unrelatable. The bits seemed forced. The analysis seemed lack-luster. The abscense of constructive criticism of Bungie generated a false air. Their lack of passion became more obvious, perhaps not through their words, but through the flow of the show. (Not to detract from the tight knit community they formed on Slack, and the Kell's Angel's racing league). I kept listening, but I did begin to focus more on Destiny Community Podcast and Planet Destiny Podcast. Now, however, with the release of D2 posters, Megablocks reveals, E3, and the Beta, Crucible Radio "Season 2" has really turned it around with the discussions, passion, and hype. I'm loving the new series "Back to Basics". They're back, baby! Looking forward to seeing what they bring with the release of D2 in Spetember!
High quality, salt-free show that focuses on the game we have. Iâm really hoping Bungie reintroduces the perk combo and skill choice volatility from D1 that made this podcast necessary listening for the 1.0 KD crowd looking to take their game up a notch. That volatility, and this showâs guidance in optimizing under those mechanics, made average players feel like they could be better than they were, and gave hopelessly no-thumbed fools like myself hope of one day making the Lighthouse or completing Rumble grimoire.Nowadays, I still tune in because Birds, Bones, and Swain are entertaining and an established part of my commute.
Monday morning is trash day in my neighborhood. I clean the litter box, compile the recycling, and haul it all outside before I begin my day. Also on Monday morning, Cucible Radio episodes. I tune in to these three as I go through the horrors of life, and they help make it a bit better. In all seriousness, Crucible Radio is the best thing about Destiny. Their content and the communities they've created have enhanced my Destiny experience. Thanks for all that you do Swain, Birds, and Bones.
I highly recommend everyone listen to this podcast. Content is great. My only qualm is that they never have any idea what theyâre talking about. They should bring that drunk guy back again.
Really enjoy this show and these guys give good tips. PC just came out but I hope they keep playing console too though cause itâs not translating well with pc.
I only come for the intros
