The "Runaway, Train" album was recorded between the months of April and June 2013 in Fort Collins, Colorado. There is a comma in the title because it is not about a train going off the tracks, but about a person who ran 2,000 miles away from home to sharpen the blade and practice the craft. The project is a dedication to some of the earliest records Will can recall listening to as a child. Those scratchy story book records of yesteryear, where a narrator, over a bed of sound effects and in-house instrumentation, reads an adventure aloud while the child reads along in the accompanying book. "You will know when it is time to turn the page when you hear the following sound..."
