darkknightposterEven with all the acclaim heaped on Christopher Nolan’s admirable run at the helm of the franchise, 2012’s “The Dark Knight Rises” is easily the least popular of his Batman films.  Adam Stolfo, Brose Avard, Stuart Wilson and Jade Goodge are eager to dissect the film here in Episode 55 of Reel Chat.

Together they examine every facet of the film, from its writing, cinematography, performances and direction, not to mention the home media releases and Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack.  The links to “Knightfall” and “No Man’s Land” are examined, not to mention the consistent brilliance of Gary Oldman in the role of Commissioner Gordon.

Bane’s voice, Catwoman’s heels and Batman’s broken back all get put under the microscope here.  Is “The Dark Knight Rises” as flawed as some suggest, or does it merely suffer in comparison to the two superlative prequels?  Join us as we “rise” to the occasion, like a part-time billionaire/vigilante who just needs a good poke in the kidneys before he’s back on his feet and ready to fight the good fight.
