Sith_posterA long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. Welcome to Episode 49 of “Reel Chat” – a podcast that guarantees week in, week out – the “Reel world as we know it.”

On this episode of our “Vintage Vault” retrospective series, host Adam Stolfo is joined by co-host Brose Avard, the returning multi-talented musician and writer James Hazelden, as well as special guest (singer, songwriter and doctor) Jade Goodge (Janis Malicious) to delve deep into the final installment of the much maligned Star Wars prequel trilogy – 2005’s “Star Wars Episode III – Revenge Of The Sith.”

There seems to be a defense of this film that because it’s the best of the prequel series that it deserves a pass mark. Err, no, it doesn’t. This last brick in George Lucas’s bland and ridiculous prophecy about Anakin being the “Chosen One” is Lucas’s final attempt to imbue Star Wars with seriousness and significance, and in a word, it’s once again underwhelming.

Learn all about the film’s disappointing cast… it’s stature as the “least-worst” film in the prequel trilogy… it’s claim to fame as being the second-highest-grossing film of 2005 behind “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”… the sheer speed and absurdness of Anakin’s turn to the dark side… who or what is General Grievous (and why does he cough??)… little known trivia tidbits… the film’s DVD and Blu-ray releases… John Williams’ underwhelming score… and as always, much, much more!

Star Wars fans rejoice. This is certainly an “epic” podcast for what is yet again a poorly written, weakly directed, and abysmally acted finale to the Star Wars prequel saga. You will most likely enjoy our banter more than the film itself. “Gear-up” in preparation for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” out this week!
