Our true Self is filled with joy at all times, but we feel unhappiness when we allow outside desires to block this joy. We are able to feel joy when we get something we want, not because our desire has been fulfilled, but because the block that had been blocking our true internal nature has been temporarily removed. We are almost always blocking our joy with some desire, desire for wealth, success, material things, love from others, or other outside circumstances to fulfill us.
Have you noticed that the joy of accomplishing or obtaining what we desired is always relatively short-lived? It’s because we only let that blockage be clear for a short amount of time before we jam it back up with a desire for the next thing we think we need. So I want to talk today about lifting some of these blocks, and coming back into your true self so you can experience joy.
