Jo, originally from Philadelphia, has a new podcast and is raising money for a new web series, Mezza Morta. The two also chat about the horror genre, podcasting, and comedy.
About Mezza Morta
Mezza Morta is a horror comedy web series that reflects the state of the Internet (and America) today. Mezza Morta is a Frankenstein-like monster created by two Russian scientists in an attempt to infiltrate YouTube and influence the American public. She is a (literal) hodgepodge of YouTube celebrities molded together into one abomination.
Jo Anna Van Thuyne, an actor, comedian, and filmmaker has worked in the film industry for over a decade. She's worked as a producer in the Philadelphia area helping to create a number of projects throughout the years. She is ready to take the wheel and pursue her passion for writing and directing.
With $25,000 Jo can make Mezza Morta the kick ass web series she knows it can be.
Mezza Morta is a reaction to these stressful times. It's a representation of sexism in every industry. It comments on our divided country and even manages to make you laugh every once in awhile. This web series will satisfy feminists and gore enthusiasts alike with its practical effects and sharp political humor.
Jo has written the first season of this twisted web series, and is currently in pre-production. She have access to a number of extremely talented professionals, and a special effects team that will satisfy any horror nerd’s gory fantasy.
